New Version 2011

VVD is now in compliance with ASME VIII:2010, EN13445:2009 Issue 2, PD5500:2009 Amend.No.2 ....

Version 11.0 – Updates to latest code amendment

Version 11.0 is a major upgrade and includes a number of improvements and additions. This version is also in compliance with:

- ASME VIII:2010 edition

- EN13445:2009 Issue 2

- PD5500:2009 Amendment No. 2

The material libraries have been updated to ASME II Part D:2010, and all EN materials have been updated to latest revisions of standards.

Version 11.0 – General

A large range of new modules and functions has been included in the new version, to help speed the design process, ensure compliance with requirements of standards, and to ease the use of the software. The complete list of additions and enhancements are detailed in the software release section and includes a 3 page listing.

Version 11 also includes a new option to maintain backward compatibility between the different releases of the standards. In example, it is now possible to select between the 2007 A09 release and the 2010 release of ASME VIII Div.1.

The 3D CADConverter has been updated and is no longer in beta state. The 3D CADConverter will use the 3D drawing generated by the VVD software and produce a STEP file that can be used to import the 3D drawings into end-users 3D application.

The VVD software has now been translated to the following languages: German, French, Italian, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Turkish and Russian.

A new options has also been added for design of jacketed, spherical and multi-chamber vessels.

A new option has been added to visualize the nozzle reinforcement limits in the 3D drawing, the user can easily identify if two nozzles interfere with each others and reinforcement area overlap. However please note that the nozzle interaction check is already built into the VVD software by activating the Groups of Nozzles module. This module will exactly calculate the limits, while the 3D drawing visualization is an approximation as the curvature of the vessel is not a followed. If the weld seams are included in the model, the software will also automatically perform checks to verify that the code requirements are met for adding a nozzle into a welded seam/identify any conflicts with shell weld seams.
