VVD New Version 9.6

Some enhancements of the new version includes:

• New module for external loads on horizontal vessels located on saddle/ring support. Any combination of external loads (wind, seismic, acceleration, blast loads etc.) can be applied to a horizontal vessel located on saddle/ring support.
• Added analysis to check the complete saddle base including anchor bolts.
• Added graphical plot of loading and deflection data. In order to better verify the external loading on horizontal and vertical vessels, a graphical plot can now be generated. This plot can show the load distribution along the vessel length for both horizontal and vertical vessels.
• New module for tube layout for shell and tube heat exchangers, a 2D sketch is generated and can be exported to cad systems with dxf file format.
• Added a new option for flared/conical skirts.
• Added check of foundation bearing pressure for skirt and saddles
• Added option to calculate pipe bends to EN13480
• Improved input of user specified components, pre-defined components like platform and ladders are now included.
• Language translation to Finnish, Italian and Polish significantly improved, the complete report can now be translated. The software is now being translated to the Hungarian, Bulgarian and Czech languages.
• Inclusion of shear forces and torsional moments in the module for external loads on nozzles to EN13445 Section 16.4 and 16.5. Although the shear forces and torsional moment in general have a small impact on the total stresses in the external loads calculations, the industry are used to applying all three forces and moments in the nozzle load calculations. In respond to industry needs, we have now added these loads to the nozzle load calculations.
• Added new module for design of ring support to EN13445 section 16.9
• The EN material database have been updated to include all values for Rpt02 from the standard EN 10028-7 for austenitic stainless steels.
• New sample files includes:
• - Separator with sump including a large number of nozzles.
• - U-tube shell and tube heat exchanger with high pressure on tubeside.
• Now draws platforms and ladders on vertical vessels
• Now draws the tube layout for shell and tube heat exchangers
• Now draws 3D pipe bends
• Now draws U-tube type shell and heat exchanger tube bundles
• Improved DXF file export to other CAD systems.
